My goals for you is simple:
To give you a killer home workout when you can't be in the gym
To keep you connected to all your workout friends and talking about the killer workouts!
To help you understand more about your own personal fitness. Learning about your own heart rate zones, how you can improve and maybe help you understand how you should feel while building muscle or strengthening your heart!
Some of the workouts will be written as a completion.
Some will be written as a Zone Match My Zone.
They might be the same workout we are doing in the gym that day, or something we've done before.
TERMS:
Complexes: Whether Kettlebell complexes or various equipment complex sets. Exercises written where either one rep, or a set number of reps and exercises are completed in sequence. Get Ripped on complex sets, pushing & pulling through heart rate zones 3, 4 & 5 to improve overall power & cardiovascular fitness while allowing for full recovery between exercises.
EMOM [Each Move On Minute]: Completing a given number of reps/movements in a single minute. These workouts could be written in various ways but each will involve reps per minute.
AMRAP: As Many Round or Reps As Possible: Completing as many rounds as you possibly can in a given amount of time. To will include a variety of reps and exercises and all equipment could be in play.
TABATA: This is a style of HIIT training that has very short intervals of max effort followed by rest of 1:2 ratio, for approx 4-6 min sets. Typically 20s work/10s rest for 8 rounds.
How to set up a Zone Match:
Once you are ready to rock your workout, clothes changed, equipment gathered, my zone strapped on and ready to go.. you load the workout in your My Zone App.
ZONE MATCH WORKOUTS: From the main menu, tap Workout, tap Zone Match, you can then sort the timers by 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes. Pick the corresponding zone match listed with the workout and when you are ready to work... tap play and GO!
MZ CUSTOM INTERVAL TIMERS: From the main menu tap Workout, tap the "clock", tap the "pencil", You will then enter in 0 min & 45 second of work time, and 0 min & 15 second of rest time. It will ask for # of rounds. You can either choose 40 with no additional rest time, OR you can choose 10, which will allow you to do 4 Rounds of 10 with a break/rest between rounds.
